Volunteering as a Company
Action Tutoring are keen to connect with businesses or companies interested in the opportunity to volunteer with us as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. Employees can either volunteer at a school near their home, or could volunteer as a group at a school near the place of employment. This could include volunteering after school, during lunchtimes, or at the weekend. For employees, it's a great opportunity to make use of their skills to benefit the local community.
Companies have also volunteered with us for occasional one-off intensive revision days with partner schools. This can be a great opportunity for teams to volunteer together and for some it can be easier to volunteer as a one-off rather than for regular sessions. Our one-off revision days usually take place in May and June but occasionally there are others throughout the year.
What Corporate Volunteers Say
As one of the UK's biggest employers, our colleague volunteering initiatives can make a real difference to our local communities. Given the right level of support, I believe every child has the capacity to succeed.
Working with Action Tutoring gave us the ability to contribute to the pupils' success. We all benefit from this - not simply the pupils but our team of volunteers too and we thank them for helping us connect with our community in this important way.
David Chalk, Risk Director at Lloyds Banking Group
Volunteering for Action Tutoring has been an extremely rewarding and humbling experience. It is easy to forget the important things in life as we become so pre-occupied with our own day-to-day routines.
