Adam joined Action Tutoring in August 2016 as the Regional Manager. He manages the Action Tutoring programme team outside of London which includes supporting the regional teams in their roles and further developing their skills; maintaining high quality tutoring and growing the charity’s provision across the country to help increase the number of disadvantaged young people Action Tutoring supports.
Adam has over ten years’ experience working in education. Before joining Action Tutoring, he held the position of Regional Manager for a nationwide private tutoring company. He graduated from Durham University with a degree in Geology in 2007, and then spent a year as sabbatical president of Josephine Butler College where he built up a student volunteering programme with youth groups in Newcastle.
Adam is passionate about reducing the attainment gap for pupils facing socio-economic disadvantage, particularly supporting young people across the country. Thanks to his role, Adam has developed in-depth knowledge of UK train stations.
In autumn 2019, Adam became Action Tutoring’s Head of Regions recognising how he has increased the charity’s reach, in existing and new cities, since he began in his role.
