Daniel Pearson

Dan joined Action Tutoring as a Programme Coordinator in August 2021.

Dan is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in Liverpool, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.

Originally from South Wales, Dan studied English at the University of Liverpool and has remained on Merseyside ever since.

During his time as a student, Dan volunteered with Action Tutoring. Inspired by his volunteering, Dan trained to be a secondary school English teacher and taught English for three years in North Liverpool. Dan jumped at the chance to work for Action Tutoring and support disadvantaged pupils to access the extra support they deserve.

In his spare time Dan likes to listen to, and write about, music. He likes metal and other loud genres, although he also likes dream-pop and old singer-songwriter. When not listening to, or writing about, music, Dan likes to read books about music. He also likes fiction, wrestling and horror movies.
