Eliza Harry

Pronouns: she/her

Eliza joined Action Tutoring in August 2021 as Programme Coordinator for London.

Eliza is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in London, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.

Eliza studied Human, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge, specialising in Social Anthropology. Whilst an undergraduate, Eliza worked at her local library and volunteered at a refugee centre, where she enjoyed organising activities for children.

After graduating, Eliza worked as a coordinator then manager at a charity in Oxford which runs programmes to tackle inequality in the city. The programmes she managed were focussed around social enterprise, social action, and ensuring that a diversity of voices are represented on charity trustee boards. She enjoyed working specifically with Crankstart scholars, Oxford University students from less advantaged backgrounds, for whom she created competitions and workshops around the issue of access to higher education.

Now at Action Tutoring, Eliza is excited to be running tutoring programmes to address educational inequality in primary and secondary schools.
