Ellie Fish

Pronouns: she/her

Ellie joined Action Tutoring in August 2021 as a Programme Coordinator for London.

Ellie is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in South London, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.

Before this, Ellie enjoyed supporting young people whilst volunteering with the Prince’s Trust and as a manager for a youth programme in New Zealand. She gained a BA in American and Canadian Literature, History and Culture from the University of Nottingham, during which she spent a year studying at the College of Charleston, South Carolina.

Most recently, Ellie has spent time volunteering on an employability programme for female survivors of human trafficking, alongside working as a shop manager for Oxfam and studying for an MA in Education, International Development and Social Justice at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.

Ellie admires Action Tutoring’s “aspirational” value, and believes that everyone is responsible for encouraging the potential in others. She is looking forward to collaborating with Action Tutoring’s inspiring team of volunteers, schools and pupils, whilst striving to break down educational inequalities.
