Emma Bogué

Pronouns: she/her

Emma joined Action Tutoring in August 2021 as a Programme Coordinator for Sussex.

Emma is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in Sussex, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.

Previously, Emma enjoyed over ten years working as a Youth Pastor. She developed a passion for supporting young people with their mental health, and went on to study Counselling and Theology at University.

After moving to Brighton during the pandemic, she assisted pupils with their emotional and physical needs in a local school. She witnessed the effect that Lockdown had on the pupils’ education and wellbeing. Working for Action Tutoring is an exciting opportunity to help enable young people to get the tools and encouragement they need with their learning; and therefore, having a positive impact on their wellbeing.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys sea swimming, being outdoors, lino printing, and finding new tasty cuisines to try.
