Emma joined Action Tutoring as a London Programme Coordinator in December 2016 after a period of travelling in South East Asia and South America.
Prior to travelling Emma worked for a children’s charity for three years supporting children and with their practical, emotional and educational needs, as well as coordinating volunteers for the charity’s after school programmes. She then worked for a training organisation whose aim is to ensure that every child learns to read and write, no matter what their personal circumstances are. She is passionate about tackling educational inequality and child poverty and strongly believes that all children and young people should be able to have an equal start in life, no matter what their background is.
In January 2018 Emma was promoted to become the Programme Executive for North London.
