Freya Cunningham

Pronouns: she/her

Freya joined Action Tutoring in March 2022 as the Programme Coordinator for Bristol. She is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in Liverpool, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.

Prior to joining us as a Programme Coordinator in March 2022, Freya tutored French, Maths, Physics and Biology to A level for three years and volunteered with us for a year. While volunteering with us, she was so inspired by the pupils’ motivation and the commitment of the charity to improving their life chances, that she applied to join us as a Coordinator. She is delighted to be a part of the team.

After finishing school, Freya worked for a year as an assistant Mechanical Engineer at a design and engineering consultancy. She then went on to study Physics in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. There, she took part in local projects reducing food and plastic waste and volunteered with the Red Cross helping refugee children with their French. Upon her return to the UK she began a Maths and Computing degree, which she is completing part time.

Freya loves music, going to dance and art workshops, climbing and yoga. She used to volunteer with Greenpeace at festivals and is excited that festivals are back!
