Jo Conduit

Jo has worked in education for 25 years in a number of different posts, including ITT course tutor, teaching and learning consultant, assistant Primary Strategy manager, senior school improvement consultant, as well as senior leadership positions in school, including Principal of two primary academies in a large Multi-Academy Trust. 

Jo led her current school through an outstanding inspection outcome in 2017 and during the same year became the first Free School in the country to achieve UNICEF’s Rights Respecting School award. Her work in education has always been underpinned by a passionate belief that every child has the right to achieve the best possible outcomes, regardless of background.

Alongside her trustee role, she has been a school governor for many years and on the steering committee for an NHS trial, ‘Changing Agendas on Sleep Treatment and Learning in Epilepsy’ (CASTLE). She is mother to two teenage girls and a cocker spaniel. In her spare time she enjoys walking, running, yoga, skiing and sailing.
