Hannah’s passion for working with young people began when she volunteered on a summer camp for young carers held at her university. She witnessed first-hand the huge barriers many young people face in their daily lives, and how support, mentorship and one-to-one attention can make a huge difference. She was especially inspired by the power of volunteering to change lives and bring different sections of the community closer together. After graduating with a degree in History from the University of Exeter in 2018, she spent a year teaching English as a foreign language abroad, first in Italy and then in Vienna as a British Council language assistant, which allowed her to immerse herself in the history and culture of central Europe and diligently sample many different types of strudel.
Hannah joined Action Tutoring as a London Programme Coordinator in February 2020 and is really excited to be working at the grassroots level to help young people across the capital achieve their potential. Outside of work, Hannah volunteers for the UK Youth Coalition on Climate Change, and enjoys cooking, reading and (occasionally) running.
