Sarah Vickers

Sarah joined Action Tutoring in January 2022 as a Programme Coordinator for London.

Sarah is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in London, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.

Sarah joins the team at Action Tutoring with experience supporting young people in a variety of settings: training teenagers from challenging backgrounds to cook in professional kitchens at the Jamie Oliver Foundation, and with primary school children as an agency Tutor.

For the last five years she has been working in hospitality and is very much looking forward to swapping managing the behaviour of adults for helping young people to grow! Sarah studied history at the University of Leeds, and later undertook a Masters in Anthropology at SOAS.

Currently, she is studying therapy part-time at Highgate Counselling centre,which feeds her passion for understanding what makes people tick. She believes that knowledge enriches the day to day, and learning is for life, and is passionate about building the curiosity, confidence and ability to make that a reality for every child.

Outside of work, Sarah can be found in the swimming pool, out in nature or practising yoga.
