Sophie Tan
Sophie joined Action Tutoring in October 2023 as Programme Coordinator.
She is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.
What I enjoy most about Action Tutoring is helping disadvantaged pupils to unlock their potentials and future opportunities.
Having been a teacher and having had the privilege of working with disadvantaged pupils, I find that Action Tutoring’s goals closely align with my own.
I enjoy the flexibility that Action Tutoring offers, the tutoring programmes, and the opportunity to collaborate with volunteer tutors from diverse backgrounds.
I wish to contribute the skills and knowledge I’ve gained through my postgraduate degree in Educational Assessment at the University of Cambridge, coupled with my teaching background, to enhance the quality of tutoring sessions and curriculum areas.
