Hannah joined Action Tutoring in 2019 as a Programme Coordinator for South and East London. After volunteering with Action Tutoring in both Liverpool and London, she saw first-hand the impact that tutoring sessions made to the skills and confidence of the young people she worked with.
Hannah grew up in Newcastle Upon Tyne and studied Spanish and Portuguese language at the University of Liverpool, during which she spent a year abroad studying in both Spain and Brazil. After graduating, she spent a year as an English language assistant at a primary school in Madrid before beginning an MA in Education Policy at King’s College London. As a student, Hannah was an active member of student-led volunteer groups and is a firm believer in harnessing the skills and enthusiasm of volunteers to drive social change.
During her MA course, Hannah became determined to work for an educational charity with the aim of closing the attainment gap associated with socio-economic disadvantage. She feels passionately that all young people should be given the chance to reach their potential and is incredibly proud to work for a charity helping to achieve this goal.
