Our resources

Whether you’re a volunteer, a school leader, or a teacher, you’ll find our resources are designed to ensure impactful maths and English tutoring sessions for every pupil.

All our tutors, whether working face-to-face or online, receive comprehensive materials. If tutoring in person, you’ll use a physical tutor workbook (complete with answers!) while your pupil works from their own version. For online sessions, we provide adapted digital slides with the exact same high-quality content.

Every workbook is carefully tailored to the national curriculum, ensuring relevant and effective support.

Adaptability and tailoring

What I particularly value about Action Tutoring is their adaptability and responsiveness. For example, the maths resources were tailored to better align with our teaching methods, and I was included in discussions about how the charity tracks pupil progress through baseline and progress assessments. Their commitment makes a real difference in the academic development of our pupils.

The workbooks are easy to find on the platform. They are very comprehensive giving you everything you need to facilitate a session.

Class alignment and exceptional understanding

Action Tutoring’s programme aligns very well with our school’s curriculum and in-class teaching goals. The charity takes the time to get to know the school, the needs of the children and our priorities. Coupled with their exceptional understanding of the curriculum and child development, children excel under their care.

Erika Eisele Headteacher at Dalmain Primary School

The workbook was very easy to understand. It only took me one session to get used to the teaching platform.
