Corporate partnerships
Corporate partnerships are instrumental in driving our mission forward. We’re incredibly grateful for the generous donations, volunteer hours, and fundraising efforts that empower the young people we support to reach their infinite potential.

Get in touchWe believe in harnessing the power of volunteering, and we know that tutoring works. We also know that to be a strong and resilient organisation, connecting with others is vital.
Ranging from our partner schools and volunteer tutors, to our funders and supporter organisations, we’re able to thrive through partnership and collaboration.
“Action Tutoring have been a strong partner to work with—clear, responsive, and highly organised, with a delivery model that makes it straightforward for our colleagues to get involved and stay engaged. The quality of their impact data and reporting has been particularly valuable, giving us credible evidence we can take internally to demonstrate the real-world value of our employees’ time and the outcomes being achieved for pupils. Just as importantly, the flexibility of the programme—whether tutoring online or in-school, and a manageable weekly commitment—means it fits around the working lives of professional staff while still delivering consistent, meaningful support to young people.”
Luke, Head of Social Value, Amentum

What does volunteering with AT look like?
It’s so easy for your teams to get involved with our volunteering. Once they apply, we’ll support them through the training and DBS process. We provide all of the tutoring materials, so they don’t need to have any previous teaching experience or plan the content of the sessions. A member of our staff will be on hand at their tutoring programmes to support and help them develop. We can also run reflection sessions with your groups to help them identify the skills they’ve honed and reflect on their experiences.
“Leading a tutoring session each week provides plenty of opportunity for personal development! Including understanding how to pace and structure a lesson, how to keep your pupils engaged, and how to communicate difficult concepts simply. I’ve gained confidence, and the skills I’ve developed are transferable to many other areas of life.”
John, volunteer tutor and Civil Service Policy Officer
“I’ve enjoyed tutoring for all the reasons I thought I would: it’s a break from the routine of my day job and seeing pupils making progress is a sign that my time with them has been well spent. The pupils I’ve met so far have all been completely different. I love seeing them develop across the sessions and getting to know their unique personalities as they grow in confidence.“
Julia – Volunteer Tutor, QBE Insurance
We offer in-person opportunities in a number of cities, so there may be something close to your office. There are also virtual opportunities available, meaning volunteers can tutor from your office!
We can provide promotional material and information on virtual sessions, to help spread the word.

“QBE and Action Tutoring have worked in partnership for almost 3 years. Together, we have supported 2,250 students to make meaningful academic progress and QBE employees have volunteered more than 650 hours as virtual maths and English tutors. Action Tutoring’s volunteer-led approach demonstrates the impact that mobilising skilled volunteers can achieve when combined with an innovative curriculum and targeted support. Their model is making a tangible difference for pupils facing disadvantage, helping them realise their future potential.”
Emma Higgins, EO QBE Foundation Chair and Chief People Officer
