Pronouns: she/her
Ines is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in Sheffield and Rotherham, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.
Working at Action Tutoring gives me the opportunity to contribute to an organisation whose mission and values resonate deeply with my own. It is a privilege to be part of such a friendly and supportive team of people who all strive to make a tangible, positive impact.
As a former secondary teacher, I have always been passionate about working in education but wanted to contribute to the sector in a different way. Being a Programme Coordinator gives me the opportunity to share my skills and experience with tutors whilst working in partnership with schools and pupils and making a difference to young people facing disadvantage.
I enjoy how varied my role is. Not one day is the same and every programme offers new challenges and opportunities to learn new skills. Building positive relationships with pupils and tutors and seeing how impactful the tutoring sessions can be on their confidence is greatly rewarding!
I am looking forward to seeing how many more young people Action Tutoring can support as it continues expanding its reach in the next few years, especially following the EEF trial.
