Action Tutoring prize draw: Terms and conditions
This page outlines the terms and conditions for Action Tutoring’s prize draw.
1. The promotion
This prize draw is a time-limited promotion designed to thank our dedicated volunteers for their additional commitment during a mission-critical year for Action Tutoring. The promotion period will run between 15th September and 31st October 2025, with the winners drawn in the week beginning 19th January 2026.
2. Eligibility and entry
Entry into the prize draw is automatic and free for eligible volunteers who sign up and participate in more than one tutoring programme, where at least one of the programmes they are tutoring maths during the promotion period. Employees and trustees are not eligible to enter.
Volunteers are automatically entered into the prize draw when they sign up to an additional volunteering programme, provided they are tutoring maths on at least one of the programmes.
There is one entry per additional programme signed up for, up to a maximum of four entries per volunteer.
To be eligible to win, tutors must still be actively tutoring on their original and any additional programmes at the time the draw is made in January. There must be no outstanding quality, commitment or safeguarding concerns raised against the tutor at the time of the draw.
3. The prize draw
The prize draw operates on a 1 in 5 chance of winning; the number of prize vouchers awarded will therefore be based on a ratio of 20% of the eligible entries for the draw. The total number of valid entries will be divided by five. The result, rounded down to the nearest whole number, will determine the total number of winners to be drawn.
The winners will be selected via a random draw from all valid entries. The draw will be performed by an independent person or using a verifiable random computer process.
The winners will be notified by email (using the email address registered with Action Tutoring) within seven (7) working days of the draw taking place.
The winners must reply to the notification email to claim their prize within fourteen (14) days of the notification being sent.
4. Prize vouchers
Acceptance of the prize vouchers is optional; the winner may choose not to accept their prize. In this case, instead of purchasing a voucher, the money set aside will be used for Action Tutoring’s ongoing work. A further draw will not be made.
The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable; no cash alternative is available.
The winner is responsible for complying with the terms and conditions of the voucher provider. Action Tutoring is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or expired vouchers once they have been delivered to the winner.
6. Claiming a prize
If a winner does not respond within fourteen (14) days, or if found to be ineligible, they will forfeit the prize. In such a case, Action Tutoring reserves the right to select another winner at random from the remaining valid entries. The prize will be delivered to a winner, typically by email as an e-voucher, within 28 days of their successful claim of a prize.
7. General conditions
Action Tutoring’s decision is final and binding in all matters relating to the prize draw, and no correspondence will be entered into. The promoter reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
Action Tutoring reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants.
