Our education collaborators

At Action Tutoring, we are proud to work alongside some of the UK’s most impactful education organisations, strengthening the pipeline of dedicated teachers who share our commitment to supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

By collaborating with these strategic partners, we ensure that we are part of a wider movement dedicated to excellence and equity in education.

Now Teach

Now Teach works to bring the experience and expertise of career changers into the teaching profession. Their teacher trainees are high-calibre professionals transitioning from other industries, often bringing a wealth of life experience into the classroom.

Our flexible volunteering opportunities provide the perfect environment for prospective Now Teach Fellows to “test the waters” and gain the confidence they need before committing to Initial Teacher Training (ITT). By working together, we help these future teachers validate their decision and develop the essential skills to succeed in their new careers.

Ambition Institute

Ambition is a national education charity with a powerful mission: to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their full potential by developing great teachers and leaders. Their highly-regarded Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme is recognised as one of the most effective and supportive routes into the profession.

Our partnership with Ambition is key because your experience as an Action Tutoring volunteer is the ideal preparation for their model. Their training is practical and in-school, and your hands-on experience with us will allow you to hit the ground running.

Teach First

Teach First is a national charity with a vision that no child’s educational success should be limited by their background. Their renowned Training Programme places high-achieving graduates and career changers into schools in low-income communities, where they work to unlock the potential in every pupil.

If you are passionate about social justice and are considering the Teach First route, tutoring with us is the perfect way to build your resilience and classroom-ready confidence before your placement begins.

Local SCITT partnerships: Your pathway to the classroom

We actively partner with local School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) providers across the country. These collaborations are essential for fostering practical, school-grounded teacher training and development in the communities we serve.
