Brenda Turnbull

Brenda joined Action Tutoring in November 2020 as Programme Coordinator for Newcastle. In April 2024, she moved to the MarComms team.
She is responsible for supporting tutors from the application stage through to getting placed on our school programmes and ensuring our volunteers receive training that makes them feel confident about tutoring with us.
I really enjoy being able to message or chat with anyone in the organisation. I appreciate the way we work to try and make what we do inclusive and impactful. I enjoy setting up and running programmes, meeting and working with incredible school staff, pupils and tutors. I have to also mention my driven and inspiring co-workers!
I’m looking forward to increasing our impact by using data and case studies to ensure we’re working in the right schools and with pupils who need help the most.
