Claire Robins
Claire joins the Action Tutoring Board of Trustees bringing over 20 years’ experience as a Headteacher and MAT CEO.
Claire recently retired as CEO of the Scholars’ Education Trust, a cross-phase MAT educating 10,000 pupils aged 3-18. She has worked as an Ofsted inspector and has extensive experience of school improvement through her work as a National Leader of Education and on the Regional Director’s Headteacher board and the DFE’s Secondary Headteachers’ Advisory Board.
Claire is a trustee of The Kemnal Academies Trust and The Danes Education Trust, and founded The 28% Club, a Hertfordshire based initiative which aims to increase the number of women applying for senior posts in Herts secondary schools. Claire has a BA from Oxford, an MEd from Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching. She is an Honorary Fellow of Worcester College, Oxford, and received the OBE for services to education in 2018.
