Ed joined Action Tutoring in October 2025 as Programme Coordinator for Dorset. Ed is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in Dorset, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.

Having grown up and studied within Dorset, I understand the challenges of living in rural areas. That’s why I’m passionate about bridging the gap and being there to support my local area and make a difference.

For me, it’s all about the connections, linking the values and mission of AT with teachers to positively impact pupils’ futures, and connecting them with our passionate volunteer tutors who share this vision. I’m a people person and a firm believer in collaboration, and that really is at the heart of what we do.

I really enjoy the relationship building aspect of this role, meeting teachers, supporting volunteers, and being there for the pupils. Watching them grow in confidence each week, not only in their understanding of the material but also as individuals.

I’m excited to see the difference AT can continue to make in this new area.
