Hannah Chapman
Pronouns: she/her
Hannah leads the Impact and Quality department, which covers impact measurement, data management, curriculum development, training, and driving the evidence-based culture of Action Tutoring.
I was drawn to Action Tutoring by the clarity of its mission to use evidence-based approaches to close the education attainment gap for pupils experiencing disadvantage. My background, including a PhD in Education and experience working and researching in both education and children’s mental health, enables me to lead the Impact and Quality function. We are continually building our evidence base and strengthening our impact and quality.
I love how the “Action” in our name speaks to the continued drive for improvement and innovation that is so strongly embedded in our evidence-based culture.
I especially appreciate Action Tutoring’s focus on staff wellbeing including winter office closure, compassionate leave and a focus on supporting positive mental health through Headspace. The clear investment in supportive, person-led policies, alongside strong mental health initiatives, shows a commitment to our team that is so vital for those working in the third sector.
