James Booth
Pronouns: he/him
As a Programme Coordinator, James is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors
What brought me to Action Tutoring is my passion for supporting people facing social precarity and disadvantage. Before I joined, my volunteering with local food projects and refugee charities showed me the importance of tackling social issues at the community level, and I’m excited that this role will allow me to continue that work.
I love working with people, so having the opportunity to regularly visit schools and build relationships with pupils, tutors and teaching staff is really exciting! The results that Action Tutoring has achieved in supporting pupils from disadvantage is inspiring, and I’m looking forward to contribute to that mission.
