As Tutor Communications Officer, Joely creates engaging and motivational content for our volunteer tutor network, while also supporting wider stakeholder communications and engagement at Action Tutoring.
Before joining, I qualified as a teacher through the Teach First programme and worked in a communications role in the tech sector.
Working at Action Tutoring, I feel a strong sense of support, and I enjoy being part of a team where everyone is working towards a shared goal – improving the academic outcomes of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
I joined Action Tutoring because the charity clearly values being a friendly and welcoming place to work. I’m excited to see the charity grow and upskill our tutor network.
Having three days of winter office closure really shows that Action Tutoring prioritises the team’s wellbeing and encourages genuine rest over the holidays.
