Laura Plumb
Pronouns: she/her
As Nottingham Programme Coordinator, Laura is responsible for our tutoring programmes in partner schools in Nottingham, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.
I enjoy supporting children to achieve their potential and develop using the power of tutoring. Working and collaborating with all the staff, volunteers and pupils involved with AT. Being able to transfer my skills and experience from being a primary school teacher and Assistant Headteacher into the role at AT.
The opportunity to continue working with children and making a positive impact on their lives is what brought me to AT. AT’s mission to ensure the attainment gap is narrowed using evidence-based tutoring programmes. The focus on staff well being and the supportive induction for new staff like myself.
I also like the fact that no two days are the same! I enjoy being able to continue to work with children and have a positive impact on their lives.
I’m joining AT during a period of expansion with lots of new staff and it is exciting that AT is expanding to new areas of the country and increasing the number of schools we work with.
