Pronouns: she/her

Lilah joined Action Tutoring in August 2020 as Programme Coordinator for Bristol and is currently our Partnerships Coordinator for Universities.

Lilah is responsible for managing our partnerships with Universities and supporting our student volunteers to have a successful and meaningful volunteer experience.

She grew up in north London and studied Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Manchester, during which time she specialised in the Angolan independence movement and became particularly interested in education and human rights.

She went on to work for the educational organisation SENA in Colombia to help provide more opportunities for disadvantaged pupils through vocational courses. She has also worked for schools and educational organisations in Zambia, Brazil and Spain, as well as in the UK as an English as a foreign language and Spanish teacher, having completed a PGCE in MFL in 2017. More recently she has worked as a volunteer coordinator for a Buddhist organisation in the south west of England, organising a variety of educational events, a vegan kitchen and meditation retreats for all ages.

Lilah is passionate about building well being and confidence in young people so that they believe they can succeed in anything they put their minds to. In her spare time, Lilah enjoys exploring the south west and practicing Capoeira.
