Peter Baines
Peter Baines is Chair of Action Tutoring and has over 25 years’ experience in venture capital, including as a General Partner at Advent Venture Partners. He divides his time between education and investment, serving as Vice-Chair of TKAT, a large multi-academy trust, alongside his ongoing work in venture capital.
Earlier in his career, Peter worked as a consultant at PwC and as a software developer on MRI scanner systems. He holds a BSc in Physics from Imperial College London and an MBA from INSEAD. Peter has volunteered with Action Tutoring since 2012 and became Chair of Trustees in 2015.
