She moved to Sheffield to go to university in 1995 and, apart from a year out in Canada, has lived there ever since.

Rachael completed her PGCE in English in 1999 and taught at King Edward VII School for twenty years. In that time, she held the role of Assistant Head of Y11 and later, became second in the department for English. She has also taught Drama, General Studies as well as being an EPQ tutor.

Rachael is passionate about supporting Sheffield’s most disadvantaged pupils, especially those ‘of middle ability’ who often get overlooked.
