Richard Mann

Richard Mann joins Action Tutoring as a Trustee, bringing deep expertise in AI technology and a strong commitment to education.

Richard is founder and CEO of nerdle, an online platform for maths-based educational games. Its games are played millions of times a week around the world and are enjoyed by teachers, parents and pupils alike. He combines this hands-on experience of educational technology with extensive leadership of AI businesses, having served as CEO of Dragonfly AI, a computer vision company, from 2019 to 2023 and continuing as a non-executive director.

Richard holds an MSc in Data Science from City University of London alongside a First Class degree in Physics from Oxford. He trained as a chartered accountant at PwC before building a career spanning multiple successful technology ventures, from early-stage startups through to NASDAQ-listed businesses.

He currently serves as a governor and trustee at Forest School, where he sits on the finance and estates committee, and is a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Technologists, where he contributes to the ‘AI 4 Charities’ committee.
