As a Programme Manager, Sav oversees the delivery of our tutoring programmes in partner schools in the London region. He is in charge of maintaining and developing relationships with partner schools and making sure tutoring sessions run smoothly.

In my career so far, I have fostered a passion for education by holding a variety of roles within the industry. These experiences have ranged from designing curriculum content and mentoring teachers to roles more behind the scenes within HR, Operations and IT.

Having spent a lot of time working on a character-trait based model of learning, I would say that I am a strong advocate for social-emotional development within the classroom. And this is what has particularly drawn me to the work being done by Action Tutoring. The impact that personalized attention can have on a student is invaluable, particularly for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with numerous more opportunities for teachers to naturally foster student development through their interpersonal and student-centred interactions.

I am excited to continue engaging with schools, sharing our impactful work, and expanding our reach. The knowledge that we are making a positive difference daily is truly inspiring, and I am fortunate to work alongside a fantastic team across the country

I value the organisation’s working groups as they provide numerous opportunities for personal development. Additionally, I really appreciate flexitime as it allows me to manage my role with a part-time MA in Education.
