Sam is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in London, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.
I really enjoy the variety of the role, working across a range of partner schools and with young people at different stages of their education journey.
I volunteered for Action Tutoring as an English tutor whilst at university back in 2013 and loved the experience. Having since worked in the charity sector supporting children and young people for a number of years, I was keen to get back involved when I saw the role being advertised.
As a working parent to a young daughter, the flexitime and TOIL that Action Tutoring offers is hugely beneficial, and is a particular draw in the education sector.
