Tristan Brolly

Tristan joined Action Tutoring in April 2021 as Programme Coordinator for Sussex.

Tristan is responsible for overseeing a caseload of partner schools in Sussex, liaising and working closely with the schools and pupils as well as managing our pool of volunteer tutors.

After an English/Drama degree from St Mary’s Strawberry Hill and an MA in Theatre Directing at the University of East Anglia, Tristan worked in a number of capacities in the theatre for over a decade. This included winning an award at the Edinburgh Festival and working for the RSC on a national and international tour.

Subsequently, Tristan became a Performing Arts/Drama lecturer for sixteen years, primarily in Further Education, teaching and coordinating a range of different courses, as well as having responsibilities as both a personal tutor and EPQ Supervisor.

Then after a short period of freelancing, including doing curriculum-based drama workshops in primary schools, Tristan began working for Action Tutoring, which he believes offers him a new opportunity to help make a difference to young people’s lives.
